Nintendo Switch 2 Connection & Wake-Up Guide

All IINE controllers can connect to Nintendo Switch 2 (NS2) and support Wake-Up. Some older controllers may need model-specific firmware before the Wake-Up function can be activated.

NS2 connection

All IINE controllers can connect to NS2.

Wake-Up support

Older models may first need the matching firmware tool.

One-time activation

Activation is required once for each NS2 console.

For older models

If your controller cannot wake NS2

The controller may need the NS2 Wake-Up firmware or tool created for its specific model.

Look for your controller model

Open the firmware channel in the IINE Discord server, find the post for your model, and install the listed NS2 Wake-Up firmware or tool.

Request priority support if it is not listed

Firmware posts are still being completed for every model. Create a post in the ask-for-help channel, include your controller model, and state that you urgently need NS2 Wake-Up firmware.

One-time setup

Activate Wake-Up on your NS2

Complete this setup once on each NS2 console where you want to use Wake-Up.

Open the controller connection page

On NS2, go to Controllers → Change Grip/Order.

Pair the IINE controller

Press and hold the controller's pairing button to connect normally.

Confirm the connection

When the controller connects successfully, continue only if you want to enable Wake-Up.

Detach and reattach the Joy-Con controllers

Remove the Joy-Con controllers from the NS2 console, then attach them again.

Wake-Up is ready

The function is now enabled for that NS2. Repeat these steps when using a different NS2 console.

Where is the pairing button?

Its location varies by controller model. Check the manual supplied with your controller if you are not sure.

Still need help?

Tell us your model and what happens

Open a post in the IINE Discord ask-for-help channel. Include your controller model and a clear description of the connection or Wake-Up issue so the support team can identify the right next step.
